Schwa, an introduction

I found out about steemit by fluke. Crazy enough, I was actually searching for "steam power", but one typo and I found what looked like gold. Hours of research later still trying to wrap my head around how this all worked, my eyes hurting from staring into a screen, I was deadset on signing up. Approval did take a while, but now I'm here, eager to join the steem community. (And yes, it is schwa as in ə)

I'll do you one better. Advice from someone who has been here a while. I know what it's like to start off new, keep posting what you know best. But mostly, engage. Engage in other peoples posts about topics you enjoy and can add meaningful insight and dialogue. Begging for votes/followers will not get you anywhere here. Engaging with other people consistently you will see your followers increase. Best of luck!
