When I travel our roads and highways, I always have a sideways eye looking for things of importance. And for me, roadside memorials can bring me to a stop and a moment to reflect. This is a place where an improbable action brought a tremendous loss. A place of violence now turned to tribute. Now a place now adorned and cared for. If you stand here in absolute stillness you can hear and feel it all, from the screeching of tires, to sound of a shovel planting a tree, to the love and the loss whispering in the wind.
