Like this trip to Hawaii... you know that I take my precious metals budget from discretionary income.
Well, to prepare for this trip, I couldn't buy the I oz gold I really wanted. It turned out good, because spot for gold has fallen!!! It takes three or four cycles for me to save the cost of 1 oz gold!
When I get back, I will be able to save for gold! But every month, I buy silver.

I'm so glad that I too started saving in SILVER so long ago! I am currently HODLing near 2x my body weight, which is quite an accomplishment. A few stackers are working towards the primary goal of equalling their body weight, I have read. I need to lose a few Covid pounds but I still do hold more than my weight in Silver.

I truly luck out. I guess the stars lined up because I believed one YouTube- stacker-elder that you could NOT stack at all if you had revolving debt. In fact I couldn't wait to get my first silver in, I had the buy it (in cash of course) even when I was one payment away from being revolving debt free! The rest is history for me!

Saving is something that is learned; as kids and even adults, folks have a tendency to spend their earnings as quickly as they get them, and also to spend them prior to earning them (through loans, credit cards and whatnot). It takes discipline for sure and a plan carried out.

It is that time again! The advise is primarily a reminder for me, hehehe!!!
To me it is not savings unless it has stayed and remined there for at least 1 year!
Even the monthly investment on stocks, I don't touch them. (I say "even" because the amounts I buy precious metals is from my discretionary income- the income after regular expenses and payments are taken out. Stock investments are regular payments.)

Indeed it is. I have heard stories form other stachers who sold their stack because if a need. Can you imagine if you have used up your emergency fund.. and you did not have your stack...
Good thing is that you hold the silver and gold. You can disposed of it in Local Coin shops if you need to.
So it is prudent that you select the silver that you stack carefully.
