We All Hate Writing, Right? Wrong!

From time to time, I receive emails from marketers who wants to help.

And sell stuff also, of course.

In those mails they talk about the pain of writing.

Some of those marketers will say:

> "We all hate writing, right?"

And then go on, assuming the reader agreed with him.

But No, We Don't All Hate Writing

We're some who love it.

I prefer writing over reading a lot of the time, and I prefer reading over watching videos most of the time. ("Lucifer" excepted.)

So why do some people hate to write?

I should ask them, but let me guess:

They feel they aren't good enough at it?

Or they write too slowly? Therefore, they would rather talk?

Can You Go from Hate to Love?

Yes, you can, but if you hate writing, you should first ask yourself if you need to write. If you do, then it's absolutely a hundred times more fun if you love it.

And yes, you can grow your hate into love.

Find out, why you hate it. What's the real reason. Be honest with yourself.

Once you've found the reason, then work on it.

How Do You Feel about Writing?

Do you love it? Hate it?

Why do you feel about it like you do?

Please let me know what you think.

Hello, followed you a couple of hours ago, while I was reading others' introductions to Steem, because I was writing my own and yours got my attention. I think it's more about your "writing confidence" since there's a lot of information out there that may give you the impression that your writings are not as good as another person's. But I always keep in mind that there's a circularity, you may read something that blows your mind (it terms of writing), but that person may have its mind blown by somebody whose texts are poorly-written compared to yours. Everything is subjective, just do what you love and your work will be appreciated.

That's a great way to see things, @jonisling :) And yes, you should never compare your writings to anybody else's because you'll often feel unhappy about your own writing then.

Write in your own style and in your own tone, and then work on improving all the time. Compete with yourself, not with others.

Hopping over to check out your introduction and your post :)

I love writing but I am often held back by a lack of ideas and imagination. Once I get the plot in my head then I need to get it out again by writing (typing) it out.

I used to feel like that, too. But the more I worked on brainstorming with the goal of coming up with a plot, the more ideas I got.

I love writing. Before I discovered steemit I had no platform that suited my need and style of writing. I tried facebook but quickly realised how lazy people were to read a lengthy post. I didn't blame them. Facebook is full of pictures and videos. Why would anyone want to bore themselves by reading? I got it so I stopped writing for the longest time. Now because of steemit I am getting my groove back. Good post. Kudos to you.

It makes me happy to hear that you can finally start writing. That is so good. It's one of the best things to do, in my opinion.

I wish you the best of success here. And yes, you're right about your observations. Facebook is not for long posts. Here it's valued.
