We've completely rewritten everything from scratch with a focus on making it as sexy and smooth to use as possible, mixed in some magic sauce and launched the first minimal viable version for open beta. This includes our first initial 3 Steem apps.

Open Beta Info
We're starting this beta out with some requirements.
In order for you to use the apps (except Earn), you need to have at least 500 effective Steempower (incl delegated Steempower) or 25 SmartPoints.
This is most likely subject to change, in both directions

I very much agree on the downvotes. There are a lot of people on Steem that believe in downvotes and think it will somehow be a good thing. Sadly, these people do not seem to understand that the only reason Steem has value is that it had the potential to be a platform that could protect free speech and counter censorship.
Instead, these folks implement a strong flagging culture, which yes, can clean up some trash. But the key flaw with downvotes is that it can be used to shut down opinions that dissent from the norm all the most viewpoint of the most staked. This results in an environment where you are incentivized to agree with the majority, which will inevitably generate extreme and limited minds.
People have to be able to speak freely and without risk of attack to their livelihood (demonetization/deplatforming), and while Steem is designed to not deplatform you, it is absolutely designed to demonetize you if your view is ideologically opposed by enough members with considerable stake.

No, due to the 13 weeks power-down period. That's why we decided to use SmartPoints. Keep in mind that the main goal we had was to provide a useful platform for Steem. Earning Steem via delegations for SmartPoints wasn't our main goal, it's rather a positive side effect.

There's no guarantee that you will make more curation rewards, compared to voting without SmartPoints. It's also important to note that we can only take care of how fast the votes go out from our end, not how long it takes for the RPC nodes to process them. This can result in a partly randomized order.
However, let's say you delegate 5000 SP for 1 month (+5 days CD), you'd earn 150 SmartPoints, more than the majority of the users.
Last but not least, our goal is to provide more utilities for SmartPoints than just preferred voting. This is simply the first feature we implemented. So please don't judge SmartPoints too quickly, as they haven't nearly reached their final usability.

Your goals were misplaced. No one wanted you to convert your service into a "platform for steem." We came to you to sell our votes, whether by delegation or vote-selling. You're attempting to get into a game that no one truly cares to have you in. Your userbase was only there because of your services provided prior to the new HF. Majority of us WILL NOT use your services for daily/day-to-day STEEM usage. We already have plenty of front-ends with plenty of capability for that. We don't need another token either. There are plenty. We only used your service as a way to make use of our extra power to gain STEEM/SBD, not tokens of some sort.
You've alienated the userbase like myself because you are changing the entire point of why people like me ever used your service to begin with. You are not going to gain me as a user to just another front-end service with "cool different tools/functionalities!" it's just fucking stupid. I don't want your service as such. It was meant to be used as a tool for profiting on otherwise lost power, to people like me. Going in this direction you are currently going, is going to make people like me not use your service AT ALL, as opposed to using it as we used to (before you fucked it up with all this stupid bullshit.) do before the HF.
You won't listen to this though and you'll blindly and arrogantly proceed forward with your stupid idea. At this point it's clear that your userbase means very little to you. The rate you've been losing users isn't apparent to you because you don't seem to understand that people like me (With this exception, because I cared a little more, having used your service before and loved it...) won't even bother to leave negative feedback to let you know you're fucking shit up. They'll just leave. That's why you think you're doing "So well" and have such "great feedback." It's all bullshit. Unbalanced, biased, bullshit. You can't see criticisms that don't exist and to assume your userbase is happy, while losing a vast majority of them, is pure ignorance.

Self proclaimed community watchdogs are actually hacking and stalking people.
This group https://steemit.com/@steemspeak is ran by https://steemit.com/@fyrstikken, They are hacking people that enter this discord server https://discordapp.com/invite/sqxV63P . Once you are hacked they profile you long enough to know all of your activities. They introduce workplace gangstalking visits and bring it to your attention cleverly and discretely so only you get it. They are very covert and tricky with everything they say and do in this server. Some claim to have worked for or are working with the FBI and the NSA. Mixed with decommissioned traders and coding criminals, Its a scary mix of creepy people and their intent is to drive you crazy and deplete everything you have ever acquired in life, even your freedom.
My hacking started with them introducing ransomware that has options, dump my coin or delete my system drive. They acknowledged this to me in the server as it happened.
This hacking and stalking is done so they can manipulate the target to pump and dump for them. Threatening and Making victims wear head phones, so nobody in your household can hear thier dramatization towards you. In 2017 this server was side marked as a drama show for entertainment purposes only as an excuse to say whatever they want all the way down to killing a politician. They have a server side command called "hey asshole" making a prompt come up instructing everyone to wear headphones. They want everyone wearing headphones so nobody in your vicinity can hear them mess with you. Fystikken says its because of "mic feedback" but once your a target you get exactly why they make everyone wear headphones.
With headphones on they subliminally direct victims with very low suggestive whispers mixed into their radio shows music. Combine this with them being able to manipulate their own individual outputs sound volume, which they control on the server side, they can pick what individual people hear at any given time. They decide who you hear on the server and change the volume controls for them. They can make some really low or off for those trying to investigate. They control who hears what and know who is who.
This team will find absolutely everything they can about you prior to using their suggestive and threatening program. They Introduce pictures that mean something only to the target, inducing paranoia while they watch and listen thru all of your circumvented devices. They are very aware of what makes you tick. They know your work schedule and use it for work stalking along side of this. I received multiple threatening letters to my work and home addressed to my screen name from this group.
Fyrstikken tells people they are drafted like they did with Facebook at the beginning. He says Facebook was started by forced labor and V2K controlled slaves, just like he creates with his gang for steem and crypto. "Get to work bitch" he tells people once circumvented and intimidated.
If your an agent Investigating them, guess what? You are circumvented. They are high tech, over funded and well connected.
You removed the only thing your service was good for. Now I have no reason to use your service. The point of vote selling was that I did not have to delegate power to you and lose that power for a period of time if I chose to un-delegate. I also don't want to earn your shitty tokens with it either, I want to be paid in STEEM/SBD.
I think you could have adjusted for the new model and still done vote selling, but you probably were more worried about a model that would profit yourselves more and would be easier. Pretty fucking pathetic tbh. A poor way to have adjusted to the climate imo. Not only are you reaping the curation rewards with us having delegated to your shitty service, you aren't going to pay us the entirety of what our vote is worth to begin with.
Pretty sad day to log back in after all the chaos and see one of my (old) favorite services go to such a shitty model. Anyone who's impressed by this or given "positive feedback" like you claim, is simply a fucking idiot who doesn't realize you've given them a big fat L with your garbage, pathetic, new model.
Severely disappointed to have come back to something like this. I expected more care for the users tbh. I guess listening to actual people instead of claiming you've gotten all this great feedback (Which is bullshit, you've not gotten anywhere near the feedback you claim, from actual people other than your own circle.), was too much work for you to handle. Sad.
