I want to write something about the city, in which i'm now living and studying. It's Saint Petersburg - the north capital of Russia.
I came from Vietnam and went to St. Petersburg in January 2017, in the coldest winter period in St. Petersburg. Honestly, I didn't feel anything except the cold :), everywhere I could see snow and snow. I was born in Vietnam and in my life I've never seen snow. And at that time the temperature was somewhere -25 degrees. You can look at the photo below, which I shot in early April. On the surface of the Neva is almost ice and it is very beautiful in winter and you can go to the river.

It's nice to see this scene from a warm window, but every day going to school is not at all comfortable.
I'm now a Phd student in Saint-Petersburg State University of Aerospace Instrumentation (SUAI). It's difficult to learn in Russia, because russian language is one of the most difficult language for foreign student. But in fact i can speak russian better than english :)

My university is located on a small river, one branch of the Neva, where in summer there are small cruise ships going along winding rivers.
In a small corner of the university there is a statue of Catherine II, who made a great contribution to the formation and development of the city.

It can be said that my school is a big university, but ancient and possibly old. But I love life here and this university, it gives me a feeling of peace that is far from what many people think of Russia.
When I have time, I will continue to write to you about the life of foreign students in Russia, about the wonderful nature of St. Petersburg and the cuisine of Russia.
