Someone is indeed utterly and completely moronic. If it isn't us, then ...

These people are the best of the best, aren't they? Why can't they see their own ignorance? Can't anyone around them see the clownishness and maybe whisper a warning to them? We can hear them - don't they understand that? We're not so stupid that we forget what they said.

Clapper has apparently lost his reasoning ability if he thinks anyone is buying his crap anymore. I'd love to see him stand trial.

So I just thought of something. I think Trump should put spies into the Democratic presidential candidate's next campaign and just claim they are there to protect the campaign since Democrats have already said they are okay with this.

Funny you should bring this up.

I've been thinking that if it's ok to wiretap and spy and get the NSA files on all your opponents now ... then since Republicans have the Presidency now ... how are the Democrats ever gonna win again? The current administration can use the full power of our intelligence agencies to watch everything, plant evidence, leak to the public - all that entirely legitimate stuff, y'know.

Exactly right. That's why this whole spying on campaign things is ridiculous. I mean I could maybe understand embedding an informant, after first consulting with the candidate himself. But doing it all clandestine-like is absolutely outrageous and threatens our very democracy.
