Hive Stake Based Income
Hive Stake Based Income (Hive SBI) is a social experiment to bring a voluntary crowdfunded basic income to as many Hivers as possible. Members join by sponsoring others into the program. Hive SBI is delivered through providing regular upvotes to member content.

The Do's

These examples are perfect! Comma separated @ list, with the number of sponsees matching the amount of HIVE, or separate transactions with 1 HIVE sent for each member are both perfect. Model your transactions after these and you will be fine!

The Do Not's
Please do not include any other wording in your enrollment memos, especially names of other users that are not the persons being sponsored!

Please do not sponsor yourself. (Self-sponsoring is not recognized at all. You will get the normal 1 for each HIVE that you send, but the unit normally assigned to the person you sponsor will be assigned to somebody else.)

Helpful Hints
If you are sending a list manually, you should chunk it into shorter lists, such as 5 or 10 names per transaction. If any name in the list is misspelled and does not match an active account, the entire transaction will be flagged for manual review. With a lot of names, this can be tedious (resulting in enrollment delays for you and for the members you sponsored).

If you have a program sending the transactions, longer lists are fine. We have had transactions as large as 75 HIVE (with 75 different names) processed without any issues because all of the names were spelled correctly and the transaction followed our syntax perfectly.

Use whole numbers. Every transaction received is rounded down to a whole number, and you will not receive a refund of your excess amount. Even 1.999 would be treated as 1, and you and your sponsee will each receive only 1 unit added to your subscription level.

Third-party Sponsoring
We also support special sponsorship transactions. Many members for their contests have asked about setting a separate sponsee as the 'sponsor' for the second unit. This is supported via @sponsor:@sponsee, or sponsor:sponsee

Look at this transaction from @mastergerund, with memo that reads blockchaininfo:rambutan.art. This results in 3 subscription units each for @blockchaininfo and @rambutan.art, even though the transaction came from @mastergerund. We currently have a few members that use this format regularly, and it works flawlessly as long as the syntax is followed. When there are spaces between the names and the : symbol, it results in error.

You could also use this to submit enrollment transactions through @blocktrades or other exchanges. If you withdraw to @steembasicincome with your transaction memo in this format, you can still receive credit for sponsoring (or sponsor people anonymously by having neither name be from you!)

The official currency for enrollment is HIVE. If we choose to accept HBD without refunding it, you do not receive extra value for it.

Enrollments are processed automatically every 144 minutes. Confirmation transactions are only sent for initial enrollment.

but there are certain parties that like to downvote people for supporting others via SBI. In such cases, anonymity may add great value.

You have to cast a pretty wide net to categorize Hive SBI as a circle-jerk. In fact, it's an account-based curation model that is partially inspired by Patreon.

Account-based curation stabilizes rewards for smaller accounts, and results in substantial retention improvement. That's why many dedicated members continue to use Hive SBI in support of causes they care about, in spite of being aggressively downvoted by hostile former bid-bot owners.

You've just obfuscated it a bit to stay under the radar and you have strong PR and marketing. I'm a bit surprised you made it past HF21 because you really should have been cleaned out with the bid bots, but people are starting to catch on. For the sake of HIVE I hope you don't succeed here.

We were wondering why you are down voting our community post. We post once per day. We don't comment spam. We support a small community of posters. We have never powered down. While we have record of enrollments for you on Steem (starting with initial enrollment on 14 July 2020), we have no record of enrollment on Hive. Hive SBI became a separate program from Steem Basic Income when Hive forked from Steem.

It's still 1 HIVE per Hive SBI to sponsor accounts, and the sponsoring party also receives Hive SBI. (In effect, for 1 HIVE, both accounts get 1 Hive SBI).

We generally recommend at least $20 worth for consistent upvotes (weekly or more frequently), and higher subscription levels result in higher vote values on each post.

OK, so how long does it stay in effect? What would I look at in terms of like $150-$200 a month? I have sbi in steemit, like 10 or something i cant remember, its been years. I wasnt doing to bad, but had to take a few years off for personal life related issues and lost alot of the retained information i had.

It's a lifetime subscription. Your membership from Steem is still in effect (and in fact you received some Hive SBI from it also). Both have been steadily building up some pending upvote balance while you were gone- which is why you started getting some chunky upvotes as soon as you started posting again, but they are dropping in size as you use up more of your pending upvote balance.
If you will be posting on Hive but not on Steem, you can consolidate everything into Hive SBI also.
