Dear Steemians,
We listened to the Steem community, and we always will. While we do not agree, nor obviously support the recent hardfork, we continue to find ways to show our commitment to developing our Steem ecosystem with the support of our great community. We love Steem and we are always supporting a united community since we believe that united we stand, divided we fall.
Steemit will always stay.
And yes, we did add the ability to hide posts that violated the terms of condition of steemit.com, those posts are still existing in the blockchain but not showing in steemit.com website, as we need to support our content and the community's content. Would any commercial website support a post that encourages all users to migrate to another one? No. That would not be in the best interest of the community and the Steem ecosystem.
All this being said, we are fully committed to supporting witnesses that vow to protect all Steemians’ stake. We will support any witnesses who publicly announce their promise to secure accounts, as well as update to SF 22.5.
Examples of these actions include the following community members which we have already voted for.

We also withdrew some of the vote of 11 temporary witnesses out of 20 and power downed @happylife123 and @onestepaday and will continue to do so with all temporary witnesses. Eventually we will put governance back in the hands of the community as soon as possible.
We will also be delegating Steem Power back to some of the projects decided on by the Delegation Committee and we will have a more frequent and transparent process of delegation. We would like to reassure you that we are committed to Steem for the long-term and plan to bring more value to Steem than even before. Behind the scenes, please be assured that we are working around the clock to make this a success, and create a path forward by returning governance back to normal within the next two weeks. We have a plethora of resources and a world class team that is dedicated to working on Steem and making it become the best decentralized social network we all envision.
The Steemit Team
Who are some of these "community" witnesses you speak of and how long have they been part of the "community"? Why would you trust them to run the blockchain in a decentralized way?

In many ways they look very similar to the sock puppets you have in place.
Can you clarify who the world class team is since the Steemit, inc employees quit? How well does that team know the Steem codebase? What experience do they have with it?
> violated the terms of condition of steemit.com
Can you clarify what section was violated? I can only think maybe 14.1.1:
> 14.1.1. Use of our Services in any manner that could interfere with, disrupt, negatively affect, or inhibit other users from fully enjoying our Services, or that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the functioning of our Services in any manner;
But that seems like quite a stretch.
> united we stand, divided we fall.
United we stand on the Hive blockchain. Divided you fall on the Steem blockchain which you yourself destroyed with your sybil attack.
>"While we do not agree, nor obviously support the recent hardfork..."
I think you mean the HF about to be undertaken.
>"...we did add the ability to hide posts..."
You have deprecated the purpose of Steem by this action, and proved your hostility to freedom and the decentralization of governance that belies the words of this OP, and every assertion of support for freedom you have ever made in the past. Your rhetoric clearly is nothing of relevance, except as an attempt to fool anyone stupid enough to believe what you say, as your actions directly impose censorship and complete centralization of governance imposed on your hapless subjects.
Tomorrow I will be free of you, and your base aggrandizement of wealth and power that degrades society for your personal benefit. I could not more aptly state my personal sovereign rights and freedom than by moving to Hive. May you enjoy complete ownership of every Steem that exists, or ever will - because without a market besides yourself, it will have no value at all.
Just like your words.
Bye.
> Would any commercial website support a post that encourages all users to migrate to another one? No. That would not be in the best interest of the community and the Steem ecosystem.
If we are actually comparing your actions to reality – yes, yes they would. In fact, they do on a common infrequent basis. One of the most rapidly shared kinds of post on Facebook and Twitter are the ones that seriously argue with great and abiding passion that fellow users should migrate somewhere else.
And anyone who has spent more than 15 minutes in a social media network knows that to be the case.
See, the solution to what you, I, or anyone else might think of as "bad speech" is "more speech," not "no speech." It's your job to make a really good argument in support of your platform which replies to the arguments which you consider to be not in the best interests of the community and the Steem ecosystem.
And honestly, it's not like they make it hard for you.
Now, there's always the possibility that you will turn around, provide excerpts of those posts, explain why you think certain pieces of content are against the terms of service, and actually make your case – but I don't expect it. You just like I don't expect the people who are advocating for Hive to explain how it is that trading one desperate for another is in my best interest as a creator.
Don't spray it in the air and tell me it's raining. That's insulting. I don't like to be insulted. I definitely don't like to be insulted when there is an absolute raft of other social media platforms to move to share my content. You should treat me, like all creators, as partners in making you butt loads of money.
Shall we try again?
@steemitblog
Will you also be communicating (two way) with the Hive community through your account here on Hive and on the comment posts (like this one)?
It would be a) good to know if you are so i have achannel to communicate with you,
and b) it will potentially be good for both Steemians and Hiveians (and remember Hiveians are still Steemians even if they choose to stop posting on Steem - they (we - includes me) still have Steem Power (shares) in Steem.
I would also love to share with you about Matrix-8 multi-level governance platform. If you deeply examine, discuss and deliberate about the potential of using a Matrix-8 subway platform for at least helping get consensus from Steemians about key governance decisions, then Steem could lead the way in the Blockchain world, and help lead the way to worldwide peace and abundance for all.
Please take this baby i am leaving on your doorstep (in this case your Hive doorstep - i will also post it on Steem later), and take care of it, nuture it and who knows how it will grow.

Much love from me to The Steemit team, including @justinsunsteemit
