It seems like spring took forever to warm up. Now that it has, dang, everything is going wild.
Here are four different peonies that are in full bloom right now. I still have two that are in shadier spots that are just beginning to open.

They are all so beautiful, and I can't decide which is my favorite. Can you?

All of the clumps have gotten so big over the past 20+ years. At some point, I may have to divide them and find a home for them.

I had to take a photo of my neighbor's Rhododendron when I took Mika for a walk. It is stunning in full bloom. That is one plant that I don't have in my own yard.
Here are four varieties of Columbine blooming this week. I used to have others, but I haven't seen them return this year.
The Clematis are starting to bloom; I have three different colors. Then I purchased this Mandevilla Vine, which is growing in a pot next to the back porch. It has started to climb, and I can see a few new buds forming. I'm hoping it has a lot of flowers all summer long. Then I will try to winter it over in the house.

The Fuchsia hanging basket is loaded with buds. I hope the hummingbirds enjoy the flowers, since I bought it for them.
The last of the Dwarf Iris is fading fast with the heat. Now, this garden is planted with Impatiens that will fill in and provide color for the summer months.

The spinach was harvested from this small tower garden, and I planted Lobelia and Nasturtiums in it. Hopefully, it will look very nice during the summer. With it being very warm now, I have to watch it carefully as it dries out quickly.

The Cuphia plant in this basket is visited often throughout the day by the hummingbirds.

I changed out the spring flag and put up the ladybug one for this month. They have arrived and are quite busy. I bet I will start to see larvae on some of my plants soon. That's my quick update for the first week of June. I have family visiting for the week from Panama, and it is hard to find a moment to be here. The house will be quiet come this weekend, and I will get to relax. Enjoy the nice weather, everyone.
