Neglected and despised
Wallowing in the comfort of the streets
Laying my helpless head on stones
I was somebody's child.

Life is cruel
My parents,they vanished
Leaving me at the mercies of disaster
Just at my cradle.

I eat hunger
I drink tears
No one sings lullaby for me
I'm beaten by the cold on the streets
Life has indeed dealt with me.

Misery defines my existence
I lay and kiss rodents
I struggle for bread with the ants
Nobody cares about me.

My cradle days shall soon be gone
I shall not forget to remember these years
I am just a boy sidelined by many
But one day, I shall be a man
Yet a man of comeliness
To pick up from the dungeon the cradles with buried dreams.
