December was brutally cold. I did get away for a weekend in December but caught nothing. Went out in a kayak and then the wind had its way with me so, was a bust that weekend.

January though, after Christmas, I'd been itching to try my new reel for my ultra light rod. I went out after the girls got back to school, albeit delayed from snow, and reeled me in a few lmbs to break the new Abu in. So yes, of course, there's definitely a bigger fish.
