Hey there and welcome to the nightmare that is my mind. For those of you just tuning in, I am Byron and I draw. I draw a lot.
The image above was one of my mental flosses, where all I do is draw to fill the page. No plan at the start except the plan to start and see where the ink goes. Later I digitize it and think about how to share it and maybe even monetize it. Solid plan eh?
When I shared the art with my friend he appreciated the entire image so much that I ended up minting it as a 1 of 1 on the WAX.io blockchain and gave it to him. He's a big WAX collector and Horde founder and friend so it made sense and felt good too.
Another ink drawing that I think looks quite striking with the pose and the big eye and large teeth. Chomp chomp chomp. In the future I am going to paint this guy up and give and edition away to the person that buys the 1 of 1 ink drawing that I minted on WAX. I really like spreading my art to collectors on the WAX blockchain because of the tools and flexibility I am afforded. It makes it easy to gamify my art that encourages community growth and collector connectedness.
Pinky Out is another ink drawing that I have shared as a 1 of 1 artwork on the WAX blockchain. It's my attempt at trying to tell a story after I already began the drawing. Sort of last minute and unplanned, and it shows :) It's still kinda cool and I'm curious how it will look after I paint it.
A few months ago I started this painting on a Twitch livestream. It took forever to finish but finish I did and boy o boy did it ever evolve as I went along adding more layers of paint and ink. It's an 9"x12" mixed media painting on stretched canvas and I call it DISORDERED.I listed it on my DRiP Haus store for sale to get the 1/1 NFT as well as the original painting. https://drip.haus/driphorde/store
I took a picture of it against a much larger painting that my wife is working on just to give it a sense of what it looks like in the real world.
This is an example of what the ink version and painted version of my art looks like. Some WAX collectors purchased an edition of the ink version and then got a free painted edition. For those wondering, I use ink pens to draw and then watercolour and gel pens to colour it in. It's a bit of a self portrait like much of my art. I don't own a watch though.
The last image I am going to share in this post is something that turned out to be quite neat, imo. I called it IN TROUBLE because if you look like that you're obviously in trouble, but also because of mental reasons. Most of my art is a ongoing therapy for me. I don't always think the healthiest thoughts and with current situations the way they are, those unhealthy thoughts are creeping up on me again. As long as I have pen and paper I'll be ok :)(
