Being at sea can be relaxing and mesmerising, yet for some it can be nothing short of nauseating with a side anxiety. I am lucky and grateful to be not the latter of those individuals and appreciate the open sea experience.
Typically, I will be up in the wheelhouse or on the wings of the bridge in search of wildlife when crossing large stretches of open water. It is a bit tiresome to spend hours in search of marine mammals, where at times it is only a fleeting glance at best. However, there is a peace to it, which makes it relaxing and almost meditative. Well, you are also blessed with views like this from time to time, which is another bonus.
