If Bitcoin goes up, Steem will go up. Maybe not at the same pace or percentage, but new highs in Bitcoin will mean higher prices for everything else.

It takes time to build a new and more attractive platform. But my impression is that more and more cool stuff are being built here, and that the most exciting changes are right around the corner.

My recommendation would be to keep om crossposting to Steem at the very least, it can't hurt.

Steem and other crypto are mostly traded against bitcoin (as opposed to usd pair)..since most fiat-crypto ramps take BTC as primary path...

So when BTC goes down..everything goes down (in usd value)..we are still in bear market...you should be concerned if BTC breaks out bullish but STEEM doesnt.

TLDR: everything is determined by Bitcoin price which is still not bullish.

I agree with this, Bitcoin is the backbone to most alt coins today. Nothing really happens without either btc, ltc or eth right now.

Maybe not excessive effort, but at low prices you're competing with fewer others for the same supply of Steem. Those are the people who have made the most from this platform in the past, and likely going forward.

There is no such thing as get rich quick. Likewise, no coin will make a big leap overnight unless someone made it artificial. With the current inflation of the steem it takes an around 20 years more before we feel the price increase. As stated on steem white paper, steem inflation decreases in every 250,000 starting in December 2016 when HF16 initiated. So technically we still have to wait 18 years more which I think no long enough. Meaning, we still can feel price increase in the future in natural way.

Supply is only one side of price. Steem is already at a low level of inflation, lower than almost any other than bitcoin (which has been around for 10 years and has had much longer to go through issuance).

Inflation doesn't necessarily mean the price can't increase. If demand exceeds the level that inflation alone can provide, the price will raise.

Oh absolutly. Though while it seems to be a lot more profitable than youtube adsense at least for small creators even at the current price of steem, thats not my main concern, that would be the fact that you cant be censored on steem nor will you lose any followers no matter what other plattform goes down if you synergise all those posts with the steem blockchain.

Take a look at the bitcoin chart from 2011 to 2015. Bitcoin also had a 90+% drop and then it went from dollars to thousands of dollars. We continue to build , every day, new and better technology that is truly decentralized and more efficient than our competition. For example DTube enables users to host their own videos on their laptops. Something that google etc cannot do. Why can't they do this? They use HTTP (Websites), and websites are limited. Think back to napster, kazaa, limewire, bearshare, these were(some still are) decentralized services with the old weak points(no blockchain for data) for govt to crack down. Cryptocurrency and free software (giving back the code) enables decentralized media for the first time, this is what makes DTube extremely decentralized already.

Please dont stop using this platform. It's not about the price of steem, it's the fact that there is so much alt right going on here, we need you.

I can certainly understand putting less effort into it. However, I think it's good to keep putting some stuff up on Steemit just as a way to diversity sources of income. Not to mention, although your channel seems safe on YouTube, some day your channel definitely could get taken down, or limited in some new way YouTube invents in the future. It's a lot easier to deal with that if you already have an established profile people know about on another site.

I was watching your videos on BitChute, and noticed you still include a link to your Steemit account...
I don't know much about the value of Steem going up or down, I have no predictions, and I am somewhat doubtful that you will see this as I don't think you are active here anymore, but I was thinking, even with the reduced value of Steem, isn't Steemit more profitable than BitChute?

I know most content creators benefit from Patreon more than any other platform, and views on YouTube and BitChute probably help earn subscribers on Patreon, but now DTube allows for videos to be streamed from other sites, like FaceBook and YouTube, so for the time it would take to share YouTube videos on Steemit and DTube it might be worth it to try this platform again.

I know DTube doesn't support sharing BitChute videos yet, but sharing your YouTube content on DTube still might be a small step towards distancing your content from YouTube.

Personally I like Steemit and DTube, I also like the idea of supporting multiple platforms, and I like the idea of getting away from YouTube.
I don't know if any of this would work for you, but I think DTube and Steemit are worth an other try.
