Hello Steemians, today I want to introduce you to a new series I'm doing called- Gratitude Day/#gratitudeday.

We should be grateful. There is no one who achieves success in life without the help of his fellow man or the help of something. We all got help in one way or another, from man and nature in order for us to get to where we are today. That is one reason why we should be grateful. Everything we have was given to us and although we may claim to earn some of them, the best things are given, they are not earned. Do you pay for the air you breath or the blood in your veins? I'm sure you don't but some people don't have air to breath or legs to walk. These are things to be grateful for.

You Never Miss the Water Until it's Gone
I once read (in one of Dale Carnegie's book) about a woman who served hay for her hungry guests one fateful evening and when she was asked why she did so, she replied in the following way. She said that all these while she was serving them food, she didn't get any feedback from them, and there was no way she could tell if they enjoyed what they were eating and if it didn't taste like hay to them.

Have you ever lost the love or support or care of a friend just because you were too busy or just not smart enough to appreciate their presence and value in your life? I have. I have made such a mistake before and it's really painful to lose something you love because it's your fault. It's excruciating. That's one reason to be grateful. If you don't take care of the relationships, or things e.t.c in your life, you will lose them.

What Can We be Grateful For?
* People: People are most important. You should be grateful for the people in your life. Everyone has something to offer (@surpassinggoogle) and everyone can be a part of the building blocks of your life if you have the right perspective. Some people will come to help you but others will come to harm you. You should be grateful even for the gift of enemies for they push you and like sandpaper may seem to harm you when they come with their friction, but if you pay attention to what the sandpaper does to the wood, you will realize that the wood has everything to benefit. The wood becomes smooth and the sandpaper becomes worn out.

Other things you should be grateful for includes:
* Things you lost
* Things you wish for.
* Abstract things
* Wierd things

62 days of gratitude.
It'll take a lot of will power to make it through to the end.

But, that's easy to come by when you're counting your blessing on a daily basis.

I've looked into the concept of gratitude journals, but haven't gone through with creating one.

I believe this challenge of yours will give me an opportunity to see what it's like.

I grew up with the attitude of gratitude hammered into my brain. It is important to be appreciative and thankful for everything we have and go thru no matter how little it may seem.

A simple thank you can make all the difference for someone.
I think its a habit we should all imbibe.

But seriously, this is something worth doing. A life without gratitude is a life filled with misery. An ungrateful person will never be satisfied, will never appreciate the people in their live, and will never enjoy life at its fullest.

Showing gratitude gives room for more. A person that doesn't show gratitude either to God or to man, doesn't seem get more things. So we ought to be grateful for everything that may come our way.
