I saw an article about this yesterday 0 trading fees , i was like damn this is really the best step in crypto going forward , plus they give you a free stock which is pretty swheet

Robinhood is going to supply endless hours of entertainment for a whole lotta people.

I don't know if it works for apple devices but you might want to grab Ublock Origin (not just Ublock, that got bought out by some ad companies) on Chrome, it's pretty much the best ad-blocker out there.

Trying to watch the video but dtube is having some issues right now.

Alright it's working now, I think the problem they're going to see is that to keep BTC at this level they're going to have to keep making up for the lack of buying demand, Tether is going to keep getting printed so I think we'll see that grow to over 2 billion. Sub 10k looks like where the market is naturally heading, but anything is possible if you have a money printer like Tether does. And who cares, we shouldn't keep all our crypto on exchanges like that hack reminds us.

Looks like they're playing it by the books with a slow roll-out, respecting states' preferences towards crypto.

I think this is going to open up the market only a little, most of the smaller US traders already have coinbase accounts. I think some may move platforms, but considering how iffy their equities trading is I'm not too confident on their ability to fill orders fast and reliably in the crypto markets either. At least btc and eth haven't had as much volatility as the small coins recently, so that might prepare some traders' butts for when the real rollercoaster coins get added. Probably a fun app to toss a few bucks on and mindlessly click buy and sell in your down time.

Of course they are going to keep printing tether. Let’s say bitcoin is 1000, and they make 1000 tether so a person can sell it and his bitcoin and buy coffee and some donuts. Now bitcoin is 10000 but they keep tether the same amount. Wow, guess what. He can’t sell his bitcoin cuz the”bank” is bankrupt, no tether.

Maybe there are some reasons to worry about tether and the parent company but it’s definitely not because they are “printing” tether. If amything, more tether means more liquidity. I would be more worried if they stopped printing tether.

Robinhood is a good step away from coinbase which is trying to be the big bank of crypto. They cannot compete with 0 fees, the next step would be a trust less decentralized exchanges where no one owns it, anyone can join anonymously and be sure that their funds are secured.

Robinhood is definitely going to kill coinbase. As excellent choice for them to start the crypto currency , i used them for stocks and have zero complaints. There will be commission free trading so it will leave behind coinbase.

I have been using Robinhood for quite some time and have found it very useful so that is very exciting. Also, read the lawsuit against bitconnect, I do not think it will be successful because it says we were guaranteed 1% a day which is not true, they never said that. And it also blames a couple promoters, which is trying to blame someone that had more exposure than others. Furthermore, the price of the coin dropped because people sold out, lost faith, bitconnect didn't go anywhere the people did. It's like any stock or currency, it's based on the value people give it. You know what you where getting into, I lost too so what, you learn and move on. Write it off on your taxes for all I care.

An exchange with no fees is a very big deal. They will at least get a ton of people. Read that already several hundred thousand has signed up early.It is coinbase killer.

Sign in using to GDAX.com Coinbases exchange using the same password. Set limit order. Youre now a maker=zero fee..But still i think robinhood is a much needed competitor and would trust them with my money more than coinbase. Their regular app is huge.

Death to Coinbase and there high fees

I have been using Robinhood for a year and I love buying stocks there. It makes it easy on my smart phone. Joining the two will put them ahead of Coinbase I think. Robinhood will allow us to buy cryptocurrencies with fiat. I think anything $1000 or more you'll have to switch to their Robinhood Gold which is $6 a month. Not bad

so I recently joined steemit and invested a bitcoin into it based on a recommendation from a buddy of mine. He suggested that I follow and watch you @trevonjb . I'm glad to learn the ropes from your videos. I like your style and knowledge. I'm going to follow your link to Robinhood and join. I trade some stocks but the crypto angle is great. I didn't like my initial experience with coinbase. Thanks for doing your vids, they are fun to watch.

I used to use RobinHood for stocks before i was introduced to crypto. I moved away from stocks so quickly because crypto was much more promising. I’m looking forward to RobinHood making this change. They definitely have the popularity and branding to run over Coinbase and never look back

It’s about time Coinbase had some real competition. Not only are they not going to have the crazy fees that Coinbase has, but the fact they already have people on their platform that trade stocks is a huge perk in my opinion. Coinbase charging around $3-5 fee per $100 spent on LTC...its insane...Gemini is way way cheaper on the fee, i believe it is about 0.25 per $100 or $o but you can only do wire transfer (more expensive than Coinbase) or bank transfer (available in 3-4 days)...just signed up for Robinhoon using the link given.....LET US ALL BENEFIT!!!!! :-)

Sounds like a great idea for Robinhood to take the reigns and challenge Coinbase. Seems like coinbase had a good run and now it's about to be disrupted with Robinhood. I'm interested to see what types of coins that they are going to add on their exchange and this will create more awareness to the masses relating to cryptocurrency.

Coinbase shouldn’t be able to monopolize the fiat to crypto platform. Hopefully with the new addition of Robinhood- we can hope for competitive pricing/ fees and a few more choices or initial investors.

As someone new to the world of cryptocurrency the main thing that has put me off getting involved has been the fees involved on transactions.

This seems like a good opportunity for me to get more involved if they make it available to users in the UK.

I just read the article about the robinhood app last night in the news section of the Blockfolio app which I highly recommend. I'm still on the fence about how I feel about it being so mainstream, on one hand, it gives crypto more credibility and on the other you have a bunch of people jumping on the bandwagon that won't take the time to understand it and will blow a bunch of money on it trying to get rich. Then what you got is a bunch of MF crying about how they lost all their money listening to somebody like you talking about its all your fault...lol. I really hope that this competition means the fees drop! I sent a friend $20 of bitcoin to get his crypto portfolio started and it cost me a total of $50 to move $20 to him!! Kind of puts me off BTC with fees like that.

Apparently some credit card companies started charging fees when you buy crypto on Coinbase because of what it's considered: a cash advance. They just give us more and more reasons to get out of that centralized system... It's still a good thing that Robinhood has no fee.

Im so glad someone is coming along to challenge coinbase. Robinhood adding crypto to their platform will make it a one stop shop for investors. Cryptocurrency is not getting mainstream, at least not in Indiana. i have been speaking to old college friends and a few people from work, most can't fathom the idea that another kind of money exists beyond the almighty dollar. I may have to venture further to test how mainstream digital money is getting.

Found that on their website. I'm very happy about this news don't get me wrong, but it will take about a year in order to use it like coinbase. A few months to get every state included and then at least a few months to make "specific anti-money laundering measures".

COSS exchange out of Singapore, which is still in beta, is sure they will have fiat trading this coming March. They will be taking USD, EUR, and SGD deposits and withdrawals through credit cards. And trading fiat vs Bitcoin, and Ether. Probably not as good as Robinhood, but still a possible Coinbase killer, or it might get killed by Robinhood too, we'll see.

Robinhood will definitely kill coinbase! I've used both and feel one big thing with Robinhood will be the ease of complying with taxes. I know nobody wants to do this but that is another benefit Robinhood will have vs Coinbase that this point.

I love Robinhood App! Ive made $50 in free stocks sharing my referral link!!! This is big for me, lol. With Robinhood gold people with little capital (like me), can invest into more or higher priced stocks with a "loan" so to say. once you sell stock, Robinhood takes money until you payback said "loan".
