You are right, because of the big grows in percentage, people forgot what we started to invest in crypto in the first place: to change something and use a better version of what we already have.

You’re right. There is no point in stressing over other “crappy” coins. If they go up they go up. But having steem is amazing because like you say, you can use it easily. And it earns you money everyday whether the price goes up or down. I am in some of the coins you sold to try to make a quick profit, but I’m just getting started. You’re so right though. People hold these coins and dont use the platforms that were created with the coins. They just hold the coin waiting or it to go up. Steem is one exception to that and there are a couple others. But most of the Blockchais created dont get used or are useless. The coin is what people focus on and not the technology. I definitely agree with you. My husband and I invest into altcoins for long-term that have actual utilization. Majority are still up and coming with development, but it'll soon enough have utility. When there's an altcoin that catches our attention, you research more into it, read their white to see if they have an actual product and speculate the future use of them.

For your own safety would it not be safer to not disclose your past or present precise holdings? Some good prices you took profits at. Most people don't realize that until they actually cash out they haven't really made a profit.

Paper profits don't equal real gains, people. And buyer beware if you're still trading on a lot of these shady ass exchanges that don't even have a single true fiat pairing or any legitimate banking behind them.

Steem having real use value for huge holders like yourself is enough of a reason to have steem or steem power, most other coins are struggling to find an audience for any real-world transactions of note.

Tron and verge are some real shitcoins, that's the appropriate voice to use lol. They're all in crypto to get rich quick. Good on you for getting out before the big dump, but it's too bad so many people including users here are trying to cash in at the wrong time.

The videos are not for ever on the blockchain , if I am not wrong they will get deleted after a time or you need to pay a small fee to keep them on.
thats why most dtube videos are on 480p cause the server costs will rise too fast if you put HQ videos on Dtube

I am in the same boat mate. Over the last week I came to the same conclusion than the STEEM blockchain is here to stay. We are still at the ground floor and since the altcoins I have are all from BTC profit I don't have anything to loose. I'll still hold on to Civic because they already have a working app and platform.

Steemit is a killer way to monetize content and earn crypto!

In fact, Steemit was my beginning into the crypto world.

Kinda wondering if I shoulda kept my money in Steem rather than power down my Steem, but I used that "play money" to get into BTC, XRP, XRB, Ethereum and a few others, and those have grown far greater than Steem, so I guess it was a good move.

Now, getting back into Steeming again, so I am building up and will also buy back some Steem to build my clout on this platform.

With everything going on with ad revenue on youtube etc. I can see a lot of non-crypto youtubers also joining dtube because they have a fanbase of thousands who will like videos to support their favoutite youtubers. They can earn much more from this then they are getting on youtube ad revenue and it will only take one or two big names for more and more youtubers to jump ship. Watch this space!

Hey @trevonjb, great decision. Steem has so many benefits. It is fast with zero fees. The greatest thing about it is that if the one has to get the value out of it, he has to provide it to the community. It changes people's lives. @dan and @ned are geniuses. They figured out the best way the blockchain could work. I am so glad to be here. Before, I also was trying to buy some other speculating coins but anyway, logically, if everyone speculates, then just few could benefit from it.

Steemit is more than a platform to make money. It is a relationship with one another and the way to get educated about desired subjects too, as I believe. I learned so much here that I don't care if it even shut downs tomorrow that I know won't happen :D It will definitely become much more popular and more people will benefit from it.

Also, what I see for Steem, there are so many developers from all over the world with @utopian-io. They create so many updates for the system. I think Steem has the best potential to become the world digital currency as well that will allow people to buy goods and stuff they want. It has to be the purpose for any currency. It has to be exchanged into other type of value and Steem already does this job so perfectly.

Wow how have I never heard of Steemit before? I'm pretty new to all of this. I only recently even started investing. I feel like this could be really valuable information. I also agree about a lot of the ICO's out there right now. I hold a few but I never commit more than 10% of my portfolio to all of them combined. Maybe I miss out on some of the bigger gains but I also expose myself to less risk. Pretty excited to start exploring Steemit and its different iterations. I'm sick of YouTube censoring content and killing dissenting opinion. I'm 100% in agreement, Steemit could be the future of social media and sharing of content. Down with centralization!

I remember the vid you did over on YouTube about buying 50 alt coins not long ago. I would guess that you averaged about 5x to 7x on all of them. I mean every single one popped off -- at least everyone I checked. AMAZING. So, I thought that was the rationale for moving more BTC into alts, especially given BTC is down and likely to be down for a while. I thought we were watching you bc we too are itching for returns. Trevon, man you have no idea how glad I was to find you. One of the only honest and authentic content creators around crypto. Always giving it to us straight. I'm going to invest more into steem and dtube NOW.

This makes sense, because having a clear direction is better than having many good directions. I'm from South Africa and seeing a younstunner in the states breaking out of the rat race is very inspiring. I've been thinking about using Digital Note as a better means to communicating with people as an expression of using cryptos and not just making money. Thanks for this video because I had a feeling that I shout keep on reinvesting profits into Steem and other coins that I use daily.

Patience is so important but hard to maintain. We just have to remember to focus on the fundamentals and not worry too much about price movements. The best projects will win in the end, and for all the hodlers out there it's important to remember that and not get lost in the day to day price fluctuations.

Speculation is how new technology always starts -- it is the incentive that get venture capitalist or early investors to risk their money on something brand new that could make them big profits or nothing. Money incentivises people to take risk --- look at steemit, it pays people money for posting their work, it is great. I mean Utube and Facebook at platforms that make money from selling annoying ads that we are forced to see and even worse selling our private data to big corporations. The person that posts the great Facebook page that shares with you a great hiking trail, or tips on how to travel cheap only get pennies from these platforms and it is the people that make FaceBook and YouTube possible -- I love that dtube and steemit Pay people and not executives and share holders.

I know that Steemit and Dtube are going to be the Facebook and Youtube killers - I just want to see how long it takes. This will be a network effect and I agree that buying Steem power and holding it is a very smart investment. I also own EOS tokens which I recommend everyone buying as well. I love that Dan Larimer and Brock Pierce are flipping the switch on capitalism. The capitalism we have now is about protectionism and monopolies, this new capitalism will be the opposite the more you share and give the more you get back. It could really change the world and this is just the beginning. YEAH!!!
