I am new here but I’ve heard so much about this platform from @Hivestudent.
My name is Triphena and I am a Nigerian. My dad named me Triphena because he was a religious man who wants me to labour in the labour in the lord all my life. That’s the context which the name was used in Romans 16:12.
I was born in the urban city of Lagos, where life is fast paced. There’s a popular saying that if you can survive in Lagos you can survive anywhere. Sometimes the hustling and bustling of the state encourages me to want to be the best version of myself and sometimes it just wear me out.
Let me tell you a little about my family, I lost my mother three years ago and you know what they say, you never get over the loss of a loved one. The death of my other left a void that nothing could ever fill. Here and there, there’s a burst of emotion because I miss her. And we all do.
My dad is planning to take a new wife soon and I can’t say I'm happy or unhappy for him, he’s a man and he has needs( that’s what my auntie says) I just hope this new woman makes him happy because my father is a good man.
I have 4siblings of which I am the second child and first daughter. In a typical African home the first daughter learn responsibility early. I was always the junior mom in our house. So when we lost my mom, it was so easy to take on motherly role.
I am 26, and I am a graduate. I studied accounting and now I work in an investment firm.
I’ve always enjoyed writing. That’s one of the things that gives my existence joy, being able to put words together in a way it resonates with me with people, I love it.
Aside writing, I love road trips, it’s somewhat of a spontaneous adventurous activity to me. I also enjoy good romance novel, growing up I used to huge fan of Diana Palmer, Debbie Macomber and Linda Howard. But these days I read more of financial articles. I also enjoy singing, I sing soprano in my church choir. I love to dance but I’m not much of a dancer, so I prefer watching people dance while I cheer them on.
I am single right now and I’ve never been married and I have no child of my own. But recently I’ve been having baby fevers(lol) I wish finding love was not such a difficult tasks. I’ve given my heart so many times to men who didn’t know what to do with it.
I am on this platform to meet with likeminds, I want to connect with people from all parts of the world and build a long lasting connection.
