I have always loved computers and tried to understand how they worked. As a child, it impressed me that you could plug a machine into the wall and all those amazing images would appear on a screen. HOW WAS THAT POSSIBLE?!

Here in Brazil, there is a big test that everybody has to take to enter in any college, it's called Vestibular. And a lot of times, students have a hard time deciding which course to take, but not me.

I began my course in Computer Engineering a few years ago and I am very happy to say that I have finally graduated recently. But there is something that bugs me. Most people (at least here where I live) don't really know what Computer Engineers and Computer Scientists do, or even basic computer concepts that they use every day and don't realize.

There are two YouTube channels which I really like called Numberphile and Computerphile (check them out later, they are very interesting). They basically have specialists explaining concepts of Mathematics and Computer Science in a way that everyone could understand. In today's internet where so much useless content is being produced I find those channels to be an amazing work to bring quality information, give credit to all the people from the area who have invented incredible things and even as a mean to attract new minds to the field!

I wanted to help doing that and explaining stuff in my own way but an YouTube channel takes up so much time to manage and edit videos. I'm not much of a writer but Steemit community seem to be very mature and interested in posts with real content so maybe it's a good opportunity for me to express myself. I am thinking about calling this series of posts Decomplicating Computer Stuff or DCS for short and will probably post my first article soon (consider this the series introduction :D), hope you all like it.

Til next time.

Anderson

p.s. If you have any tips for a beginner blogger or suggestions for content in the series I would love to read your response!
