We are entering a new age- one where millions are unemployed, former service economies have shut down, and entertainment has been devastated. Now is the time to take the reigns as the lockdown ends and prove our mettle in the new world.

Like Clint Eastwood in a western, we must take to the great new world like he did the wild west. We have lost over 30-million jobs in America, and like the Grapes of Wrath, we must survive in a new land.

How do we emerge from the wreckage and prosper? We fear not, take the reigns, use our wits and and move on. We have lost mich, and we need to move on.

Here are some recommendations for gritting through this:

• Learn new skills online and in the classroom

Start a garden

Learn all about your neighbors and start a watch group

Get into shape

Start working overtime to build an emergency fund and pay your debts

Raise chickens

Keep at it, don't give up and grit on.
