Hm, I think that you could apply that logic to many problems - if you don't mind, it doesnt matter. Sometimes the main problem is that we can not accept some things, while we may "don't mind" those things and accept them, that is right :)

Some great points here. Even though i'm only 28, I really don't like birthdays anymore. I'm actually thinking about writing a post about it. I have a serious fear of ageing both physically and mentally. I need to find a way to tackle it!

It is all in your head. Age is just a number, and you shouldn't make that bother you too much. You have a bigger life to face than panicking about how old you are or would be. It's okay to be afraid, but it is not okay to stay afraid.

Thanks for the post. It’s easy to get caught up in feeling older, but age is what you make of it. Except for hangovers, those definitely get worse with age.

You could tell people 10 years elder as your real age, people will be surprised and you got younger feeling. :)

I felt old since I was about 8 years old (yes, yes). I tried to avoid birthday parties and all, and about 2 weeks before every birthday I started becoming more and more gloomy. I'm not sure what happened, but around age 25 I decided that it's stupid to keep thinking about how old I am, when I can have so much fun instead. So now I just do whatever I like and have fun on my birthday, and I so don't care about my real age that sometimes I forget how old exactly I am (my birthday is in a month, and I've been telling people I'm 36 for about 6 months now, without realizing that no, I still have a while to go).
You're as young as you feel. No matter what everyone else tells you :-)
