A warm greeting to everyone in this wonderful #Music community. I'm delighted to play "This I Promise You" on my trumpet, a pop ballad composed by Richard Marx and performed by NSYNC in 2000. That was an incredible time; I was about to start university, and boy bands like the Backstreet Boys, Son By Four, Hanson, MDO, and Boyz II Men were all the rage. This song was constantly playing on the radio. The lyrics speak of the promise to be there in difficult times, to offer emotional support, stability, and loyalty to a loved one. This piece is in the key of D major; in my case, I play it in Bb major, with a change to the key of C major. The melody is lyrical, flowing, and gradually builds to an emotional climax. The tempo is slow, with a 4/4 time signature and a gentle, intimate rhythm.

Un cordial saludo para todos en esta bella comunidad de #Music. Tengo el agrado de interpretar con mi trompeta «This I Promise You», una balada pop compuesta por Richard Marx e interpretada por la NSYNC en el 2000. Esa época fue increíble; estaba por comenzar mis estudios universitarios y estaban de moda las agrupaciones juveniles como Backstreet Boys, Son By four, Hanson, MDO y Boyz II Men. Esta canción me perseguía en la radio. La letra habla de la promesa de estar presente en momentos difíciles, de ofrecer apoyo emocional, estabilidad y lealtad a la persona amada. Esta pieza se encuentra en la tonalidad de D mayor; en mi caso, la interpreto en Bb mayor, con un cambio a la tonalidad de C mayor. La melodía es lírica, fluida y crea un clímax emocional progresivamente. El tempo es lento con una cifra indicadora de compas de 4/4, con un ritmo suave e íntimo.

If there's one thing I love about movies, TV shows, and books about knights in armor and samurai, it's their sense of honor. A promise is a promise, and keeping one's word is a promise. Fulfilling our commitments demonstrates trustworthiness. Sometimes people ask me for money, and it's disheartening when someone doesn't honor their word. I immediately cut them off, and they lost my trust. Another time, I arranged to meet someone at a mall, and they never showed up. We had discussed the meeting the day before, but they simply dismissed it. The problem wasn't that they forgot or had some other issue; they didn't believe me. They've likely had disagreements, misunderstandings, or broken promises with other people. Promises are meant to be kept, and when we make them, they shape our character and make us honorable people.

Si hay algo que me gusta de las películas, series y libros sobre caballeros con armadura y samuráis, es su sentido del honor. La palabra empeñada y las promesas realizadas se cumplen. Cumplir con lo que prometemos demuestra que somos dignos de confianza. En ocasiones, algunas personas me piden dinero prestado, y es triste cuando alguien no cumple con sus compromisos. Inmediatamente le hago una cruz y pierde mi confianza. En otra oportunidad, quedé con una persona para encontrarnos en un centro comercial y esta nunca llegó. Habíamos hablado sobre ese compromiso un día antes, pero esa persona simplemente le restó importancia. El problema no fue que lo olvidó o que tuvo algún inconveniente, sino que no creyó en mi palabra. Es probable que haya tenido desencuentros, malentendidos o faltas de compromiso con otras personas. Las promesas están hechas para cumplirlas, y cuando las hacemos, forjan nuestro carácter y nos convierten en personas de honor.
