Some users from the community urged me to bring dMania back online. The user who convinced me was @prc. He is a great guy and the developer behind DSound. You should give DSound a try. It's a great project. Vote for @prc as witness as well.
Not much has changed since I created my last post. I don't agree with the things that are going on on Steem. I don't agree at all with the curation and reward distribution on Steem. It doesn't work at all and the completely wrong people get most of the rewards. That should be obvious to most users on Steem.
Vote selling still completely dominates the platform. Until those issues are not addressed, I don't see any future for Steem.
By bringing dMania back I am taking a new approach to the project. I am bringing it back primarily as a test and development environment. I will only focus only on developing features, nothing else. That's what I did at the beginning and the high rewards and delegations just distracted me from my initial goal, creating a great meme platform.
That said I don't care who gets rewarded or how much they get. The Steem curation and reward system doesn't work. I tried to fix the reward system by building another one on top of it. That didn't work out. That is something that has to be fixed on blockchain level. App developers shouldn't be involved in the distribution of the rewards.
Use dMania if you like it, otherwise don't. I am not going to promote dMania anymore. I am not trying to collect more delegations. I will keep the bot and curation system for now. It is the best system I could come up with. I tried it to make it as fair as possible for all users. I won't change it anymore and try to fix the broken curation on Steem. That's just a waste of time. I will only work on new features.
The Discord server stays down for now as well. 80% of the users just asked for upvotes anyway on the Discord. I don't have time for stuff like that. Maybe I will create another one at some point.
I won't post or promote new features on Steemit. I will just release them. Most of my posts on Steemit get flagged to oblivion anyway.
So for the people who like dMania, have fun with the platform. The high rewards are gone and that will make a lot of things easier and more relaxed. With all the distractions gone I will be able to release new features a lot faster. In the upcoming months I will try to make dMania as good as possible and create a great platform that can compete with existing meme platforms out there.
Okay by bring it back, is it going to be here after all? I will try to say that people loves dmania and you should know that as the creator, you're bound to be in for criticism at all time, one thing is when you are under this, try as much as clearing the air and keeping your cool at all times, steemit is a platform that contains the good, bad and the ugly but the system itself is amazing, independent and magnificent, in fact a haven for entrepreneurship.
In other words I'm grateful to @prc, he's a fantastic guy who works magic from the shadow, you've taken the right decision, get ready to accept anything to comes with being the owner of dmania, that's the mark of true leadership.
Bro, on this one I have to publically disagree with you.
I don't give 1 single fuck about what Zombee writes, he is now coming back to cash in and talks about development to hide his intention of abuse once again.
I personally do not give a shit about Dmania anymore, by abusing the system he lost all my trust.
He writes that Steem is trash, why the fuck does he came back? To develop on this crap chain? Don't make me laugh.
You don't play with peoples money and especially not with my money.
I don't agree either about the things he wrote about the steem blockchain. Actually I don't agree with the fact that he shouldn't say that, as he was profiting from vote selling from bots when the only way to get the bot upvotes where by promoting your memes with bots. And he was pushed to change the algorithm at that point, because he wouldn't have changed it if that wasn't the case. So people pumped a lot of money into bots on post from dMania.
As far the vote selling on steem, it is an issue for now, as this wasn't the vision in the beginning. I hope tough it will be controlled somehow at some point. The platforms are still in beta. But I don't agree with him saying that because he was using that stuff to make good profits, yet he claims is a very bad thing. I use bid bots also, but I ain't taking a 10% cut from the posts neither a 15% when I am chosed as a supporter. I am lucky if am at least breakeven at the end of the 7 days.
As for what I have told him I believe that he is a good developer and if he has the right mentality, which implies change. He could do something and recover his reputation, because we all do mistakes in life. And maybe he would do the right thing now.
Let's wait and see if that is the case, blaming others didn't help like you said. I hope tough that he does the right thing, that why I said that and I wished him good luck.
Why you people are to soft this days? Having disagreements is a part of life, criticism also. Especially in business. Kicking a person out of the channel for criticizing a model of business is the worst solution. It doesn't look professional at all and will make people think that you are hiding stuff, even if you aren't. If he didn't insult you guys personally in that situation by swearing you, then I don't know what was the problem.
I saw this common practice on some crypto projects on telegram, guess what happened to those projects? Yet I didn't see people get kicked for criticizing good projects yet and the result was good : price wise and value wise. This is how you grow.
Now reap what you sow.
