They may have come from elsewhere, possessing extraordinary knowledge, and today we think such wisdom was impossible; yet it may be that many other species lived on Earth before us, perhaps even competing for it or transforming it into what we know today. They brought that knowledge from other parts of the universe; they were even able to build colossal pyramids and lead governments or kingdoms. They may have been among us since ancient times, passing through various eras of human history, walking amongst us in the streets and bringing about momentous changes or improvements for the world.

Some may be evil, but others want the best for this planet, and many go unnoticed. The truth is that they have inhabited the planet for thousands of years and are even older than humans; we believe we are the first, but they do not contradict us. They simply act from the shadows; the good ones do not seek recognition, but rather peace and harmony, as well as the evolution of humanity for the greater good. I wonder what they are thinking right now, seeing what they see of this world.

Ellos tal vez venían de otro lugar, con conocimientos extraordinarios y hoy pensamos que no era posible tanta sabiduría, pero puede que muchas otras especies hayan vivido en la tierra antes que nosotros, incluso que se la disputaran o la hubieran transformado a como la conocemos hoy. Traían ese conocimiento de otros lugares del universo, incluso pudieron crear construcciones piramidales colosales y dirigir gobiernos o reinados. Pueden estar entre nosotros desde la antigüedad pasando por diversas épocas del ser humano, caminar entre nosotros en las calles y llevar adelante cambios trascendentales o mejoras para el mundo.

Algunos pueden ser malo, pero otros querer lo mejor para este planeta y muchos pasan inadvertidos. Lo cierto es que habitan el planeta hace miles de años y son hasta más antiguos que los humanos y nosotros creemos que somos los primeros, pero ellos no nos contradicen, sólo actúan desde las sombras, no buscan reconocimiento, los buenos, sino paz y armonía, además de que el ser humano evolucione para el bien. Me pregunto que piensan ahora mismo viendo lo que ven de este mundo.

Design process

The design was created entirely in Photoshop CS6 without the use of AI, using 11 royalty-free images spread across 28 layers.

The idea behind this design is to tell a story, which is why the video gives the impression that there are two designs in one. To begin with, I placed an image of watercolours in soft colours, over which I placed an image of old, stained paper in two layers, in different positions, using the ‘Overlay’ blending mode; and on top of these layers I placed the image of the pyramid with a spotlight.

On top of this, I arranged the image of the pink stains across two layers in different positions, and the images of old buildings, each on a separate layer in different parts of the design, adding the ‘add edges’ filter to highlight them. All these layers have the ‘Darken’ blending mode. On top of this, I worked on the images of the women outlined in black. To do this, I cut and pasted each one into the design, in three layers with the ‘Darken’ blending mode, and arranged them in different positions. I decorated with spots from the second image, selecting these spots and pasting them in three layers in various parts of the design with the ‘Spot Light’ blending mode.

I began the second design using the image below. Essentially, I followed the same process as before, but with a few adjustments: I hid some layers in the preview, then overlaid the light blue or sky-blue abstract image using a darken blend mode, and on top of that, I placed the pyramid again using the same blend mode. I split the image of the gears in two and placed them on either side of the design using a spotlight blend mode.

I then worked on the last two images, the futuristic woman and the clock, both in several layers and interleaved. I created two layers of the woman, particularly of the face, using darker and lighter colour blends. I then selected the sections on either side of the face and created two more layers of them with strong light on both sides of the design. For the clock, I created two central layers, erasing the centre from one of them; the blending modes used were Hard Light and Lighten. After that final layer without a centre, I created several more distributed across different parts of the design.

The animation is done completely in After Effects, working on the opacity of each layer and adding lights in the form of clouds for better contrast.

Proceso del diseño

El diseño está realizado completamente en el programa Photoshop CS6 sin uso de IA con 11 imágenes sin derechos de autor distribuidas en 28 capas.

La idea en este diseño es contar una historia por lo que en el video parece que hay dos diseños en uno. Para comenzar coloqué una imagen de acuarelas con colores suaves sobre la cual puse una imagen de un papel viejo con manchas en dos capas, en distintas posiciones, con la fusión de superponer y sobre estas capas puse la imagen de la pirámide con luz focal.

Sobre lo anterior dispuse la imagen de las manchas rosadas en dos capas en distintas posiciones y las imágenes de edificaciones antiguas cada una en una capa en distintos lugares del diseño, agregándole el filtro de bordes añadidos para resaltarlas. Todas estas capas tienen la fusión de color más oscuro. Sobre esto trabajé las imágenes de las mujeres delineadas en negro. Para eso corté y pegué cada una en el diseño, en tres capas con fusión de color más oscuro y las dispuse en distintas posiciones. Decoré con manchas de la segunda imagen, seleccionando estas manchas y pegándolas en tres capas en diversas partes del diseño con fusión de luz focal.

A partir de la siguiente imagen comenzaría el segundo diseño. Sobre todo, lo anterior, pero anulando algunas capas en la visualización superpuse la imagen abstracta de color azul claro o celeste con la fusión de oscurecer y sobre ella nuevamente la pirámide con la misma fusión. Dividí la imagen de los engranajes en dos y las puse a cada lado del diseño con fusión de luz focal.

Posteriormente trabajé las dos últimas imágenes, la mujer futurista y el reloj, ambas en varias capas e intercaladas. De la mujer hice dos capas, sobre todo del rostro con fusiones de color más oscuro y aclarar. Y luego seleccioné los laterales que están a ambos lados del rostro e hice dos capas más de ellas con luz fuerte a ambos lados del diseño. Del reloj hice dos capas centrales donde a una le borré el centro, las fusiones usadas son luz fuerte y aclarar. Luego de esa última capa que no tiene centro hice varias más distribuidas en distintas partes del diseño.

La animación está realizada completamente en After Effects, trabajando la opacidad de cada capa y agregando luces en forma de nubes para un mejor contraste.
